Oh dear, when I see things like this I become quite exasperated. We have companies worldwide tightening down on security, and then we have big companies who should know better doing things like this. I visit client s and talk about web security, preventing reverse SQL injections and dropping non-standard traffic/behaviour on your website etc. etc., and then we have this sort of thing, sigh. For the record, I did phone them a month ago and advised them that this was, well ... inadvisable, but the person taking the call clearly didn't grasp the importance of what I was trying to tell them, hopefully this will help.
