VMware refuses to take any responsibility for misleading tactics
Yesterday I pointed out how VMware was inappropriately trying to infer that a quote showing substantial savings from a Gartner Server Based Computing (SBC) research report was somehow applicable to VMware View which offers no such solution. VMware responded with a scripted PR statement on the CRN site that is geared towards VARS and technology integrators in response to coverage from Kevin McLaughlin. Today VMware released a new VMware View client to prevent issue after installing Microsoft patch KB2482017
Earlier this week Microsoft released patch KB2482017. After installing this patch Windows 7 clients are unable to connect to the View Connection Server! Today VMware released a new VMware View client (build 353760) to prevent this annoying issue.

PCoIP: Unleash the Throughput
PCoIP is a dynamic protocol and contains some very advanced mathematical algorithms to detect the ideal bandwidth, throughput, image quality and codecs to be utilised to stream contents to endpoints. These algorithms utilise arguments such as latency and variance to create what is called ‘rto’ metric. The higher the ‘rto’ the worse is the user experience. When ‘rto’ is close to 100 that’s when the link is in good conditions for a great user experience.
