AppDNA 6.1 – simpler, easier, faster more accessible
It’s going on 9 months since the AppDNA acquisition and this will be our second release as the Citrix AppDNA product group. Our 6.0 release (Feb 2012) was already locked down prior to the acquisition and was a major functionality update. The recent 6.1 release is our first ‘true’ Citrix release and carries deeper branding and a variety of other enhancements.

Citrix Acquires Application Migration Company App-DNA
Citrix announced this morning at its Synergy event that it will acquire App-DNA, a company that sells a comprehensive application migration tool. Terms of the agreement were not released. Citrix also made a dizzying number of other announcements at the event relating to its ambitions to offer solutions for every layer and aspect of cloud computing, ranging from software-as-a-service to private cloud infrastructure.

Now comes confirmation of the long rumored news that Citrix intends to acquire the company for $92 million.

The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 Names App-DNA “One to Recognise”
Today App-DNA is noted as “One to Recognise” alongside Britain’s fastest-growing private technology sector companies in The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100, a league table of Britain’s fastest-growing companies in technology, media and telecommunication (TMT). The Sunday Times notes of App-DNA “The business was demerged from its parent company Camwood (No 58 in the Tech Track 100) earlier this year and reported sales of £8.8m in the year to March. It expects to more than double that figure in its current financial year.”
